Sausage and Mushroom Stuffing

Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp Butter or Margarine
  • 1 Large Onion, minced
  • ½ Cup Chopped Mushrooms
  • ¾ lb Pork Sausage Meat
  • 1 Cup Minced Ham
  • Black Pepper
  • 3 Eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 Cup Fine Fresh Bread Crumbs
  • ¾ Cup Chicken Broth or Dry White Wine
  • 3 Tbsp Chopped Parsley
  • ¾ tsp Salt

Cooking Directions

  1. Sauté onions and mushrooms in butter until soft.
  2. Add pork and sauté until meat leaves raw look.
  3. Add ham and cook for a few minutes. Cool.
  4. Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
  5. Note: if using chick broth instead of white wine eliminate ¾ tsp of salt
  6. May be cooked in a casserole dish covered 1 hour while meat is cooking.
