Candied Bacon

  • 1 lb Johnston’s Bacon sliced
  • ½ cup maple syrup
  • 1 - 1 ½ cups brown sugar


  • Preheat oven to 350°F
  • Place a piece of parchment paper between a cookie sheet and a cooling rack
  • Arrange bacon on cooling rack ensuring the bacon slices are not touching each other
  • Brush maple syrup over bacon slices
  • Sprinkle brown sugar evenly over the coated bacon
  • Bake at 350°F for 20-25 minutes, or until bacon is fully cooked and sugar has a soft candied look
  • Remove from oven and cool
  • Great as a sweet garnish or to add into baking breads and desserts
  • Note: User submitted picture used sandwich bacon and honey to make candied bacon
