Instructions
  1. Pre-heat oven to 350°F
  2. In a bowl, mix apples, cinnamon, brown sugar, lemon juice and chopped bacon
  3. Pour mixture onto shell crust
  4. Place 3-4 slices of uncooked bacon slices on top of the pie filling, spaced evenly apart in a parallel direction
  5. Basket weave (under, over, under, etc.) the remaining 3-4 slices of uncooked bacon intersecting the first set of slices
  6. Sprinkle the bacon lattice with brown sugar
  7. Cook until apples are tender and bacon is cooked, about 35 minutes
  8. Tip: For the second layer of bacon slices, alternating the weave (starting the first slice from over, second slice from under, etc – see picture for clarification) will keep the bacon slices from curling up
