Glazed Cottage Roll
A cottage roll is a ham cured in a brine. Recipe courtesy of Alice Mae Macdonald.
  1. Cover cottage roll in its poly film wrapper with water. Pick several times.
  2. Simmer 1 ¼ hours. Remove wrapper.
  3. Place cottage roll on rack in shallow pan; cover with glaze.
  4. Bake at 325°F for 30 minutes, brushing occasionally with glaze.
