Never undercook or overcook your meat again with Johnston’s digital meat thermometers. Place the thermometer into the thickest portion of meat, avoiding fat and bone.
To cook perfect pork steaks, chops, and roasts, remove from heat source when the thermometer reaches 140°F. Let the pork rest for another 5-10 minutes allowing the temperature to rise slightly. The perfect pork should be moist, juicy and faintly pink at 145°F.
Please note, organ meats, ground pork, and mixtures made using ground pork should be cooked to at least 160°F.
