Ingredients

anaheim peppers

red, green, and yellow peppers
chopped

onion
chopped

tomato sauce
8 oz each

crushed/diced tomatoes

can
diced tomatoes

can
chili beans
drained
1
can
kidney beans
drained
½
cup
brown sugar

Cowtown light chili powder

tsp
cumin

San Antonio original chili powder

tsp
Terlingua dust
substitute 1/4 tsp cayenne, if desired

Mexene chili powder

Mexican oregano

crushed red pepper flakes

garlic granules

Instructions
Brown ground pork and beef in small batches. Drain and set aside.
Sautee peppers, onions and chilies.
Add tomato sauce and diced tomatoes. Bring to a boil.
Add seasonings. Stir till blended then add all meats.
Reduce heat to a simmer. Cook about 2 hours stirring occasionally.
Taste. Add salt if needed. If more heat is needed add cayenne (be careful).
If adding beans add 30 minutes before serving.
15 minutes before serving, squeeze the juice of the lime.
Notes
All chili powders can be substituted for your own brand. The ones
used here are typical Texas powders. Just use equal amounts of yours for
the recipe.
